We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist for Home Health Care with expertise in The Joint Commission (TJC) standards to help maintain and elevate our quality and compliance performance.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Assurance Specialist will work in-office to audit, review, and monitor clinical documentation and processes, ensuring compliance with TJC standards, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and state regulations. This position will collaborate closely with clinical staff and leadership to identify areas for improvement, provide staff education, and prepare the agency for successful accreditation surveys.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in home health QA, compliance, or clinical leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of The Joint Commission accreditation process.
  • Familiarity with Medicare CoPs and state regulations for home health.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and auditing skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • RN, LVN, or other clinical background preferred but not required.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience using DSL EHR system in a home health setting.
  • Prior experience preparing for a successful TJC survey.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-office chart audits on DSL (EHR) for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to The Joint Commission standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Educate and train staff on compliance issues, agency policies, and TJC requirements.
  • Assist with survey readiness and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Track quality indicators and assist in developing performance improvement plans.
  • Provide timely QA reports to agency leadership.
