Organization Name: People USA - Peer Run Behavioral & Mental Health, Recovery, and Wellness Job Title: Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) Job Location: Ulster County Support Center - Kingston, NY 12401  Work Schedule: Open EVERY SHIFT !  Weekdays & Weekends                             Mornings to Afternoon: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM                             Afternoon to Overnights: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM 12 Hours Shifts Payrate: $42.10 per hour +$1.18 overnight shift differential / Non-Exempt     Job Summary: People USA is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Ulster County Crisis Support Center. The Ulster County Crisis Support Center is a 24-hour, 7-day center that assists individuals in mental health and substance use crisis. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing health assessments, health education, vitals monitoring, and ongoing collaboration with Crisis Support Staff.   Job Responsibilities:  * The Registered Nurse will provide nursing intervention, medical assessment and support to individuals experiencing a Behavioral Health or Substance Use crisis. * Function as a member of an interdisciplinary team to support the individual's recovery. * Monitor inventory of medical supplies and medications brought to the center by guests. * Records vital signs, notes changes, and pursues more-specific investigations as needed. * Physical health monitoring and education for guests. * Reports to Site Director LCSW of Ulster County Support CenteUses care plans as a basis for providing safe and therapeutic care to guests. Communicate with the guest and their family and other members of the care team in carrying out the goals of the care plan. * Complete all nursing documentation in the EHR an electronic medical record in accordance with NYS Office of Mental Health regulations.  * Attendance at routine staff meetings. * Complete mandatory training in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.  * Evaluate and document the guest's response to nursing interventions defined in the nursing care plan and electronic health records. * Establish and maintain positive working relationships with others internally and externally to achieve the agency's goals. * Establish ongoing communication with team members. * Foster teamwork, work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems and support decision making. *  Assess situations to determine importance, urgency and risks, and establish safety and support for the individual. Job Qualifications: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Excellent time management skills. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong leadership skills. * Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.  * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience: * Licensed and registered to practice nursing in the state of New York required.  * Minimum of 1 year of experience in nursing preferably in a behavioral health or substance use setting. Reports to Site Director LCSW of Ulster County Support Center
