Description

IVIRMA North America network of state-of-the-art fertility practices in the United States, is currently seeking a Per Diem Sonographer/Ultrasound Technician to join our growing Colorado practice. Looking for someone to pick up shifts 7am-4:30pm in our Lafayette office and other locations as needed. Job Purpose: The Sonographer is responsible for providing detailed ultrasound imaging of the female reproductive system to help identify the causes of infertility and to guide fertility treatments. Essential Functions and Accountabilities: * Collaborates with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments * Establishes personal rapport with patients * Provides explanations of procedures * Performs detailed sonographic examinations of female reproductive systems and identifies abnormalities * Responsible for generating and documenting ultrasound reports for physician interpretation * Procedure set-up, following all sterile precautions. * Performs and provides explanations of procedures, including Sonohysterograms, FemVue, and Ultrasound guidance for embryo transfers * Tracks fetal growth and development up to 9 weeks gestational age * Maintains ultrasound equipment * Orders ultrasound supplies and keeps rooms stocked * Travel to other Company locations as needed * Rotating holiday and weekend shift coverage Academic Training: * Completion of formal Ultrasound training - required * ARDMS certification with OB/GYN specialization - required within 90 days of hire * Current BLS Certification - required within 60 days of hire Position Requirements/Experience: * Previous experience in women's health or reproductive endocrinology and infertility – preferred * 2- 4 years of experience as an ultrasound technologist – preferred Technical Skills: * Ability to effectively operate all pieces of equipment utilized within the scope of this job. * Proficient in computer programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred.
