Senior Architect and Mainframe Migration Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:

Fujitsu is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Mainframe Migration Specialist to execute complex mainframe migration activities as part of the Core Fujitsu Progression COE team, the candidate will provide expertise and knowledge related to legacy technology and mainframe environment. The Progression tool suite is used to convert mainframe applications from legacy technology such as COBOL into new language such as C# and JAVA.
The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in mainframe technologies, migration methodologies, and cloud platforms. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills to work with the Progression COE team and ensure successful project activities outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8 + years of experience in mainframe development and migration.
• Deep understanding of mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, IMS, VSAM, and z/OS.
• Experience with project delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) including Fujitsu Macroscope.

  Employment Hour: (37.5 hour/week)
  Must have skills:- Deep understanding of mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, IMS, VSAM, and z/OS, Control-M.
  Visual Studio, SQL Server or Postgres
  Experience in mainframe migration and data transformation

• Participate into end-to-end mainframe migration projects, including planning, architecture, execution, testing, and deployment phase.
• Work on Progression solution enhancement task and collaborate with architects and developers
• Assess existing mainframe application
• Troubleshoot and resolve migration issues including interfaces/API, performance, solution.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of the migration and tool suite documentation, including technical specifications, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in pre-sales activities, including technical presentations and proposal development.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with mainframe migrations and Progression tools suite enhancements.
