Job Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council Children’s Services for a full-time Performance Analyst to work with our Education & Skills Performance Team.
This is a short-term opportunity for an experienced analyst within the Education and Skills Performance team with a particular focus on SEND and Inclusion. They will support the team with statutory requirements; the forthcoming SEND inspection as well the overall transformation journey.
They will be collaborating with key stakeholders across the Council including Team Managers and colleagues in Education & Skills Services, colleagues in the wider Children’s Services Performance Team, Data and Analytics Service and external partners/services to gather and analyse data and evidence that will support the Education & Skills Service’s direction of travel.

Particular task will include:

  • Support with implementing the performance framework by updating and improving existing scorecards as well as identifying more efficient ways to share the data on a reliable and self serve basis (Power BI).
  • Work proactively and in collaborations with the business as well as system support to ensure maximum data accuracy in source data.
  • Support Performance Manager and Head of Service with data requirements. Knowing where to get relevant data and how to extract it.
  • Support in forthcoming SEND OFSTED/CQC inspection as and when required.
  • Support with statutory returns.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is confident working using their own initiative as well as a part of a team. You will have excellent IT and Microsoft Office skills including the ability to draw analysis and reports. You will be experienced in using Power BI to its full capacity. Knowledge of SQL, Synergy and SCM would be an advantage.
