Roles & Responsibilities: Key Accountability Areas Key Activities Operational · Conduct daily safety and competency morning briefings led by the Performance Competency Manager. · Review daily drilling activities and assign competency‑based tasks aligned with the competency matrix and individual development plans. · Perform on‑the‑job evaluations using standardized checklists and observe operational performance in real time. · Complete end‑of‑day reviews, document observations, and update competency records in the CMS. · Conduct competency‑based training sessions for drilling, rig floor, and support personnel. · Perform assessments aligned with CAMS requirements and competency standards. · Provide coaching and actionable feedback to trainees to ensure skill advancement and safe work performance. · Complete Performance Competency Assessment Forms including employee information, tasks observed, recommendations, and evaluator details. · Upload completed assessment documents to the Competency Management System (CMS) and ensure all records are backed up and properly stored. · Participate in monthly review cycles and ensure data integrity through required audits. · Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports according to the communication and reporting schedule (Daily PCI → Ops; Weekly PCM → Ops; Monthly PCM → Leadership). Product/Process Improvement · Assist in identifying gaps in drilling and rig floor competencies. · Recommend targeted interventions, training sessions, or corrective actions. · Support succession planning through accurate tracking of employee progression. Physical Working Conditions · Normal working conditions (office): travel for training; company events when requested JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Experience & Qualification · Valid IWCF or IADC Well Control Level IV certification. · Minimum 10 years of drilling operations or drilling management experience. · Demonstrated competency at senior-level rig positions. · Certified Assessor certification required. · Strong communication, reporting, and coaching skills. · Proven experience in competency development and evaluation. Knowledge & Skills · Experience working in safety‑critical drilling environments. · Strong understanding of CAMS, CMS, and competency frameworks. · Ability to conduct objective evaluations and provide constructive feedback. · Effective collaboration with cross‑functional operational teams. · Must maintain accurate, auditable competency records. · Ability to work on a rotational schedule (Field PCI or HQ PCI 35×35 rotation as applicable). · Adherence to SANAD’s reporting, data management, communication, and escalation procedures.
