Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Apply Performance Improvement methods to support goal setting, as well as process, outcomes, and proxy measures, cascading to sites and service lines
  • Partner closely with equity, high reliability and safety, patient experience, and regulatory
  • Serve as a connector to other Performance Improvement business units for a cohesive system approach
  • Lead and support hospital-wide and system-wide performance improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement science methodologies
  • Monitor and analyze quality indicators, trends, and benchmarks such as CMS Star Ratings, Leapfrog, US News Rankings, Vizient, etc.
  • Partner with Advanced Analytics team by providing recommendations for dashboards, scorecards, and data visualization tools for real-time feedback and decision-making
  • Oversee validity of data, support data integrity checks, and ensure Quality and Performance Improvement data definitions are maintained in the RWJBarnabas Health Data Catalogue
  • Serve as system liaison to Vizient Clinical Database and manage monthly uploads, data edits, user training, and ongoing education for RWJBarnabas Health leaders and Quality staff
  • Partner with hospital and system executives, service line leaders, clinical departments, and frontline staff to support understanding of performance improvement efforts and system goal metrics
  • Provide education, coaching, and mentorship in quality and Performance Improvement methods
  • Coordinate regular communications with internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead and participate in key committees and forums
  • Facilitate conversations across all staff levels, enabling organizational learning and ownership of performance metrics
