Performance Improvement Lead
Permanent & Fixed Term Contracts (12 months)

About this role
Performance Improvement Leader will work in partnership with operations and functional teams to deliver key initiatives to improve business performance.
You will be a performance partner to operations manager to ensure that any improvements implemented are standardised and sustained within operations teams.
You will continually push the boundaries for performance and be a leader in driving significant cost efficiency to drive action and delivery in alignment with the business plans. This role will have an on-call duty once in 3.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and coaching the cultural change and get to Zero stops & Zero Waste
  • Facilitating and leading plant and process problem solving.
  • Being a performance partner to shift managers with joint accountability for results of the line (c/o time, OEE losses LS / SS, other stops including material quality)
  • Being a functional partner to the shift managers well practised in the tools and methodologies to apply (e.g. Loss & Waste analysis, RCPS, DMAIC)
  • Coaching of intact team on trouble shooting tools
  • Providing performance data and drive continuous improvement activities into weekly planning meeting to ensure preventative maintenance plans are robust & align with losses.
  • Leading strategic improvement projects using the DMAIC methodology. (e.g. 5Why, FT-DMAIC, Yellow Belt, Green Belt etc)
  • Leading loss & waste agenda provides data & performance insights and a clear strategy to prioritise improvements.
  • Supporting capital expenditure projects – Being the key interface with contractors and project engineering on asset and process improvement projects
  • Being accountable for effective Contractor Management on site (Performance, Compliance etc.)

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to communicate to all levels across the plant.
  • Experience working in a process environment with evidence to demonstrate ability to develop effective working relationships with partners and cross functional teams to deliver organisational effectiveness and improved business performance.
  • A consistent track record of utilising manufacturing excellence tools and techniques such as 5S, set up time reduction, lean six sigma, reliability centred maintenance Fastrack DMAIC, AM broad-plan.
  • To have or be willing to work towards a NEBOSH and a qualification in Brewing & Distilling qualification however this is not crucial.
  • A Full clean driving license is crucial for this role.
