We’re offering an exciting opportunity to join Thames Water as a Performance Manager based at our Reading Sewage Treatment Works (STW). In this role, you’ll oversee the daily operations of a major treatment facility and lead a team of up to 14 multi-skilled technicians.
You’ll play a vital part in driving operational excellence, improving environmental outcomes, and delivering great service to our customers. This is a brilliant opportunity to build a long-term career in frontline operations as part of our Thames Valley South (Kennet, Pang and Vale) Wastewater Team.

TO THRIVE IN THIS ROLE, THE ESSENTIAL CRITERIA YOU’LL NEED IS:

  • Proven experience managing operational teams, with strong leadership, coaching, and motivational skills.
  • A passion for Health & Safety, with a track record of creating a culture of compliance and care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt and lead in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to connect across teams and departments.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred but not essential, as you may occasionally visit other sites.
