King Heights Academy is currently looking for a dedicated Music/Arts teacher to join our team at the Thornhill location.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• have a Bachelor of Education degree and a membership in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
• have knowledge of differentiated approaches to teaching, with an emphasis on critical thinking skills
• be proficient with a variety of technology and be able to integrate technology into lessons to enhance learning
• demonstrate excellent classroom management skills in order to create a positive learning environment
• collaborate effectively with colleagues and work well as part of a team

The following assets are also desirable:

• experience in Special Education
• excellent interpersonal skills, including a positive and proactive approach
• strong organization and communication skills
• a passion for ongoing learning and professional development
• flexibility
