A member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, St. Francis is consistently recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a national leader for Cardiology & Heart Surgery, as well as for Gastroenterology & GI Surgery Job Details Responsibilities: • Providing safe, advanced methods for extra corporeal circulation for the Open Heart patient • Providing cardio-pulmonary bypass management • Set-up and operation of the extra-corporeal circuit and advanced life support systems • Set-up and calibration of physiological monitoring, auto-transfusion • Tandem Heart, RIS, adult ECMO and maintaining proper perfusion documentation Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree plus graduation from a CAHEA approved perfusion training program • Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion • BLS required Salary Range USD $114.64 - USD $164.00 /Hr. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits. Responsibilities
The perfusionist is responsible for providing safe and advanced methods for extra corporeal circulation for open heart patients and managing cardio-pulmonary bypass. This includes setting up and operating the extra-corporeal circuit and advanced life support systems.
