EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Acute Care Hospital experience preferred (i.e.: Nursing Assistant, Unit Secretary, PCS, etc.)
  • Visual and auditory acuity for information retrieval and computer monitor use.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Current NJ-American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support).

Responsibilities
  • Room turnover: includes taking out the trash, cleaning all areas of the OR, including the OR table, making the table up, and mopping the floor
  • Gathering equipment, supplies, and instrumentation for surgical cases
  • Changing OR tables when necessary
  • Room set up: setting up the entire OR room for the next case or first case of the day; this includes making the bed, having necessary equipment in the room positioned appropriately for the case
  • Taking specimens to the lab
  • Take returns to CSP and put returns away that live in the OR upstairs.
  • PCT will be on your feet, the entire shift, so comfortable, supportive footwear is needed
