Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Perioperative Services Associate position is to be a vital member of the Perioperative Service/Surgical Team and achieves efficient/safe patient care through the operating room turnover and well maintained supplies, instruments and equipment. As a member of the Surgical Team they demonstrate team collaboration, communication and participate in process and performance improvements activities. The Perioperative Services Associate is knowledgeable of Infection Control Mandates and activities, regulatory agency standards and Joint Commission Safety Alerts and mandates. Qualifications High school diploma or its equivalent plus one (1) year of hospital work experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. CPR required. Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to carry out the duties of the position; prior supervisory experience an asset. Must be able to work under pressure and stress for prolonged period of times. Requires the ability to accept frequent interruptions from multiple sources.
