West Berkshire Council is seeking a Peripatetic Maintenance and Compliance Lead to join our Adult Social Care Service, reporting to the Registered Manager. Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Peripatetic Maintenance and Compliance Lead, you will play a crucial role in supporting the maintenance and compliance of our registered care homes and services. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the effective maintenance and upkeep of facilities, including regular inspections and identifying repair needs.
  • Leading on compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards, ensuring that appropriate measures are in place to meet requirements.
  • Conducting audits and assessments to evaluate compliance levels and implementing necessary improvements.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to provide advice and guidance on maintenance and compliance issues.
  • Reporting and escalating any significant concerns to the Registered Manager and appropriate authorities.
  • This role will involve travel between different care sites, so a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS FIXED TERM UNTIL FEBRUARY 2026 – INTERIM SUPPORT
