JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Grocery Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers while maintaining the grocery store’s standards. You will assist in various tasks including stocking shelves, managing inventory, and operating the cash register. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive shopping experience will be essential to our success.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of retail math principles is advantageous for handling transactions and inventory management.
• Familiarity with inventory control processes is a plus.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members to ensure effective collaboration.
• Experience operating a cash register is beneficial but training will be provided for candidates without prior experience.

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their inquiries and purchases.
• Operate the cash register accurately, processing transactions efficiently while handling cash and credit payments.
• Maintain the grocery store’s appearance by stocking shelves, organizing products, and ensuring cleanliness throughout the store.
• Assist in inventory control by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular counts, and reporting discrepancies as needed.
• Handle produce items with care, ensuring quality standards are met and products are displayed attractively.
• Utilize retail math skills to assist customers with pricing inquiries and product promotions.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and address any customer concerns promptly.
• Operate a pallet jack safely for moving heavy items as necessary.
