Applications are invited for the position of: Administrator, People and Culture Association of Business Professionals (Non-Union Employee Group) PERMANENT- FULL TIME 1.0 FTE Effective Immediately Salary range (commensurate with experience) Group 3, $60,954 to $69,265 Extensive Benefit Package and OMERS Pension Plan Under the direction of the Supervisor of People and Culture, the Administrator, People and Culture, provides confidential support and service for department tasks and to the employees of the LDCSB.
The incumbent is responsible for the daily coordination of administrative functions for People and Culture, ensuring timely and efficient communication and processing of department tasks.The Administrator will maintain positive public relations with staff and third party agencies, manage the department’s general email account, maintain accurate vacation entitlement and balance calculations, support teacher performance evaluation reporting and support staff performance evaluation tracking, department purchasing requirements, employee files, membership fees, archives, scheduling of meetings, and minute taking, as well as other functions to assist with the effective operations of the People and Culture Department, while upholding a high degree of confidentiality.Qualifications and Skills required: Post-secondary education in a related field, such as Human Resources or Business Administration Diploma Minimum three years working experience in an administrative capacity Experience working in the field of Human Resources and/or school board is an assetExperience working in a unionized environment is an assetStrong working knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems, MS Office applications, etc.; experience working with Laserfiche, mVal software is an assetKnowledge and familiarity of Human Resources initiatives and best practicesHigh degree of discretion in working with confidential and sensitive personal information Ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimal supervisionDemonstrated ability to problem solve and think criticallyExcellent interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skillsBe knowledgeable in and able to interpret relevant language of the Boards Collective Agreements/Terms and Conditions, policies and procedures and legislation Application must include: Apply to Education Portfolio, cover letter and resume, documented proof of qualification, and the names and contact information of three professional references, one of whom is your current supervisor.
