The Black Horse Inn are looking for a new team member to enhance our small hard-working team.
Located in the hamlet of Byworth, Near Petworth, the Black Horse Inn is a beautiful country pub boasting great locally sourced food and drinks delivered with excellent service that people keep coming back for.

We currently have a permanent position available offering 20-25 a week. Mostly weekends and weekday lunches.
Applicants should be polite and have a positive attitude to learning new skills and adapting to our way of operating.
The ability to be confident whilst offering a warm welcome and great customer service is a must.
It goes without saying that great personal presentation and hygiene is essential.
Flexibility with working hours would be ideal and having your own transport would be advised, as we are out of the main town and shifts will include split shifts.
Communication is key and you must have the ability to work well alone, and as a team.
Experience is preferred, however full training will be given on our way of operating.
Ideally, we are looking for a candidate that can work full-time hours on a permanent basis. Successful applicants that show good first signs of leadership and prove they enhance our team, and customer experience, will have the scope to move up the ladder into more senior positions.
Shifts will include lunch times, occasional dinner services, weekends, and public holidays. Days off will normally be 2 consecutive days, early in the week. (If Full Time).

For example:

• Monday & Tuesday
• Tuesday & Wednesday
• or, Wednesday & Thursday.

Pay will differ with experience and a yearly salary would be offered to the right candidate. Along with other perks such as a long weekend off each month (where possible). Tips are not included in the pay ranges advertised.
Bar Duties- Daily tasks will include setting up the bar/restaurant/garden for service. Dispensing and service of drinks, maintain a clean and hygienic service area, service of food, greeting and looking after guests, taking payments, and general daily cleaning and stocking tasks. Not all duties are listed, and extra training will be given for cellar duties.
