Permanent Chef - Five-Day Roster each Week in Caulfield * Permanent Position: Five-Day roster every week (including either Sat or Sun) in Caulfield  * Generous not- for- profit Salary Packaging to boost your take home pay * Set Roster: Tue, Wed, Fri & either Sat or Sun: 0600-1406 plus Thu: 1030-1836 * Supportive, dynamic and experienced team that values collaboration and quality About the Opportunity We’re seeking a passionate Chef to join our Residential Aged Care facility in Caulfield. You’ll prepare high quality and nutritious meals in a friendly, well-organised kitchen, maintain the dining rooms, support daily kitchen operations, and help deliver an exceptional dining experience for our residents. This role suits someone who enjoys meaningful work, set hours, thrives in a respectful, supportive, dynamic, and positive team environment, and has strong focus providing outstanding service to our residents. What you will do * Prepare, present, and serve high‑quality meals and refreshments that meet client’s individual dietary and texture‑modified needs * Maintain compliance with the Food Safety Program and safe food‑handling standards * Follow standardised menus while ensuring residents have choice and variety * Work collaboratively with the wider care team to support resident wellbeing and specific needs * Coordinate resources efficiently and effectively including stock control, ordering, maintenance of food service equipment, and following cleaning schedules * Lead and support food services staff, including “on the job” coaching and task allocation in line with their qualification and experience * Contribute to a positive, respectful, resident‑focused kitchen environment. What We're Looking For * Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) * Food Safety Supervisor Certification * Experience as a Chef or Cook in aged care, healthcare, or hospitality * Knowledge of menu planning, special diets, and kitchen operations * Strong organisational and time‑management skills * Excellent communication skills and a commitment to confidentiality * Exceptional attention to detail * Excellent ‘can-do’ attitude * Ability to identify and resolve problems * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) * Current police clearance and Statutory Declaration suitable for aged care.
