As a Senior UX Consultant at Great State, you’ll run various types of UX projects with our clients, take an active role in developing our research practice and ensure that insight is effectively integrated into our design processes.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver UX work on our biggest projects. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment with a great variety of work.

  • Lead and manage UX projects from inception to delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Work across different projects and clients - you could be working on a research project, an IA project or a service design project.
  • Collaborate with clients and wider teams.

  • Synthesise research findings into actionable insights and communicate them effectively to clients and internal teams.
  • Create UX deliverables such as personas, research reports or user journey maps.
  • Design and lead client workshops.
  • Champion quality, with meticulous attention to detail and polished execution in your work.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles and help our clients understand the value of user research.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Play a part in defining research best practice and helping to establish this in the studio. If you’re interested in things like ‘research ethics’ – this role is a good fit for you.
  • Mentor and guide mid-weight and junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

BONUS – IF YOU CAN DO THIS TOO, YOU’RE PERFECT FOR THIS ROLE!

  • Service design, ideally following GDS process.
