Benefits: Dental insurance Vision insurance My Florida Roofing Contractor is looking for a detail-oriented, Experienced Permit Clerk to join our team in Vero Beach. This role is about more than just submitting paperwork; it’s about ensuring the final customer experience is seamless by handling the critical close-out documents and scheduling. The Role Location: Vero Beach, FL (Office-based) Status: Part-Time (approx. 20–25 hours per week) Schedule: Tues/Wed/Fri What You’ll Do Permit Management: Prepare and submit applications to Indian River and St. Lucie County building departments. Track status daily to keep roofing teams on schedule. Project Close-Out: Take ownership of the final project phase by emailing warranties and Certificates of Completion (COC) to customers immediately upon project finish. Post-Install Coordination: Proactively schedule Wind Mitigation inspections for homeowners to ensure they receive their insurance credits. Compliance: Coordinate inspections with local municipalities and follow up on any corrections to ensure permits are closed out properly. Communication: Act as the bridge between Project Managers (5606) and homeowners regarding permit and inspection timelines. Requirements (Must-Haves) Proven Experience: You must have prior experience in construction permitting (roofing-specific experience is a major plus). Process-Driven: High comfort level with managing a high volume of emails and digital document delivery. Local Knowledge: Familiarity with Florida Building Codes and Indian River/St. Lucie County/ Brevard County requirements. Detail Oriented: In the roofing business, a missing COC or a delayed Wind Mit can stall the engine—you must be meticulous.
Responsibilities
