POSITION OVERVIEW: The Permit Coordinator is responsible for managing the permits required for each customer project. This position focuses on the online and in-person submittal of permit applications located throughout our working area and following these permits through the approval process. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: · Reviewing, preparing, submitting, and receiving permits with authorities within Empower Home Services’ Operations locations, in accordance with jurisdictional requirements · Coordinating payment and reimbursement of permit fees according to company guidelines · Utilizing the CRM and other software systems for project updates to record progress of various tasks and stages of the permitting process · Follows up routinely on previously submitted projects · Assures all new permit submittals are actioned within a 24 hour turnaround time of being ready to submit for permits in efforts to hit monthly quotas set by management · Coordinates with Design and Engineering teams to execute AHJ corrections and resolve any issues · Advocates for the company at local jurisdictions to help streamline permit process and update the company’s AJH database with permitting requirements as needed · Schedule appointments with AHJs as needed for permit submittals · Report daily production and findings to supervisor · Performs other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: · The successful candidate should have the ability to travel within their state of hire on an as-needed basis · The successful candidate should possess self-confidence, drive, enthusiasm, and a sense of responsibility · The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical, quantitative, organizational, and prioritization skills · The candidate should possess the ability to discuss strategic and sensitive issues in a confidential manner · The candidate must possess at minimum a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent REQUIREMENTS: · Driving is an essential function of this position. The candidate must possess a free and clear license and driving record in their state of hire. · Minimum 1-2 years of PV and PW solar inspection knowledge and experience · Minimum 1-2 years of general Construction knowledge and experience COMPENSATION: · This is an hourly, non-exempt position. The starting base hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $17.00/hour and $22.00/hour. The exact starting rate will be determined based several factors, including but not limited to work location, experience, education, certifications, and internal equity.
