Job Description David Weekley Homes is seeking to add an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Permit Coordinator to our Tampa Division. The Permit Coordinator plays a key role in supporting our operations team by managing the residential permitting process for designated communities and serving as the primary point of contact with local municipalities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple permits and deadlines simultaneously. Experience in residential homebuilding and a solid understanding of the permitting process are strongly preferred. Job Responsibilities: Work with engineering, truss, mechanical and surveyors to prepare permit packages. Submit permit applications to various municipalities. Communicate with municipalities to track approvals and resolve discrepancies. Maintain organized permit files and documentation. Monitor timelines to support timely home starts. Support builders in obtaining the Certificate of Occupancy (CO) as needed and other issues as they arise while homes are in production. Qualifications Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as a member of a dynamic team. Excellent communication and follow-up skills. Construction or permitting experience preferred. Strong follow-up and organization skills. High attention to detail and ability to deal effectively with numerous interruptions. Ability to manage multiple priorities with a positive, team-oriented mindset. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook with exposure to JD Edwards is beneficial. Additional Information .
