POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Permit Expediter currently based in CA to join our team and manage the permit application and approval process for various projects. This opening can either be REMOTE or ONSITE/In-office, and available both part-time and full time.
The ideal candidate MUST have experience in Los Angeles area specifically and strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permit requirements, along with excellent interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with government agencies and stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience as a permit expediter or similar role
  • MUST be California based and have specific experience in LA and County areas
  • Thorough knowledge of local building codes, zoning regulations, and permit requirements
  • Strong understanding of construction documents and architectural drawings
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proven track record of successfully obtaining permits for various project types
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and permit tracking software
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in construction, architecture, engineering, or related field
  • Experience with multiple jurisdictions and municipalities
  • Knowledge of special use permits, variances, and zoning changes
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance requirements
  • Previous experience with commercial and/or residential construction projects
