The Sakatti deposit is located in Finnish Lapland near the town of Sodankylä, and within the existing exploration permit areas fully owned by Anglo American Sakatti Mining Oy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Anglo American Plc. The Sakatti deposit is a unique, poly-metallic deposit that contains seven payable metals, including copper, nickel, cobalt, platinum, palladium, gold, and silver. The mine is targeted to produce two concentrates, high-grade copper and nickel concentrates but has optionality available to produce a bulk Cu-Ni concentrate.

JOB DESCRIPTION-N.B THIS IS A FIXED TERM CONTRACT UNTIL 31 DECEMBER 2026.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Permitting Coordinator to join our Sakatti Environment and Permitting Team. In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for managing the scheduling, coordination, and documentation of all permitting activities, ensuring we meet both Finnish regulatory requirements and our own high internal standards. Qualifications

  • -Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in environmental permitting or regulatory compliance.
  • Understanding of Finnish environmental legislation and permitting processes
  • Strong understanding of permit conditions and compliance pathways
  • Familiarity with GIS data and systems is an advantage.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in drafting memos, reports, and documentation.
  • Fluent in Finnish
  • Good level of English would be an advantage (Written, Reading, Spoken

Responsibilities
