The enCore team is led by industry experts with extensive knowledge and experience. We are currently looking for a Permitting and Regulatory Specialist. Permitting and Regulatory Specialist provides direct support to implementation of the comprehensive monitoring and reporting programs implemented at facilities operated by enCore Energy. Typical activities involve regulatory research and preparation of permitting applications, provide reviews of environmental data evaluations for completeness and quality, and preparation of reports, participating in regulatory field inspections. Work tasks may involve activities in varying work environments and weather conditions. The position will report to the Permitting and Regulatory Affairs Supervisor. This is a full-time, exempt position which may involve working extended hours including weekends. Role and Responsibilities: Gather data, analyze and develop reports for environmental reporting Assist with on-site State and Federal agency inspections Contribute to implementation and management of post-inspection corrective actions Complete routine environmental audits of project sites and facilities Review and comprehend laboratory analyses for reports Organize and manage environmental data Other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related science preferred 2-4 years of permitting & regulatory experience Familiarity and comprehension of Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and Railroad Commission regulations Working knowledge of MS Office suite of products including SharePoint Ability to comprehend and communicate effectively through written correspondence Excellent verbal communication and people skills Aptitude in problem-solving and conflict resolution Ability to work productively individually and as a team member with a result-driven approach Must adhere to all company safety policies and project company safety policies and values. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have a valid Texas Driver's License. Working Environment: The approximate working environment to fulfill job duties is 75% office and 25% field work. Field locations will encompass Kingsville, Rosita, Vasquez, Alta Mesa, and Upper Spring Creek project sites. Additional sites may be included. Physical Demands: Prolonged sitting required, with ability to operate office equipment which may include lifting of up to fifteen pounds, bending, and standing. Field work at locations will consist of driving, walking, standing, bending, stooping, may include heavy lifting of up to thirty pounds, and reaching for prolonged periods of time. Requires ability to always manage stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner. Personal protective equipment provided by the company will be required at all site facilities. Employee will be required to operate a company-provided vehicle on occasion. Employee will adhere to safe driving procedures while in transit and while on company managed sites. The employee will be responsible for conducting pre-shift vehicle inspections and maintaining this vehicle while operating. This position could involve working alone in remote areas; therefore, applicant must coordinate all site excursions with the Permitting & Regulatory Affairs Supervisor and Director of Operations. Employee must maintain communication with direct management in all situations.
