About the Role We’re looking for a detail-oriented, team-focused Permit Specialist who can bring more than one skill set to the table. You will own the permitting process from start to finish, support interconnection, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth, efficient project execution. What You’ll Do * Own the entire permitting process- prepare and submit applications, track progress, and follow up with county departments to ensure timely approvals * Research and stay up to date on county codes, zoning requirements, and interconnection guidelines * Pick up and deliver permits when needed to keep projects moving * Keep the CRM, project teams, and management updated with accurate status reports, documents, and plans for each project * Coordinate across engineering, permitting, construction, and utility teams to align timelines and requirements * Respond quickly to mid-project changes- such as plan updates, equipment swaps, or field modifications- ensuring all documentation and approvals are in place * Identify and communicate gaps or bottlenecks in the permitting-to-construction process, and recommend solutions * Collaborate with management to develop and refine workflows for faster, more efficient permitting and interconnections * Maintain strong working relationships with municipal staff, inspectors, and utility representatives to ensure smooth interactions and resolve issues quickly * Support additional administrative and operational needs when workload allows, contributing to the overall success of the team Minimum Requirements * Ability to work Monday through Friday from 6:30am - 5:00pm. * Experience in permitting and/or interconnection * Strong attention to detail; adaptable to changing priorities * Excellent communication and collaboration skills- puts team success first * Strong problem-solving skills; able to work across departments * Previous experience in Solar, PV, Electrical, or construction fields * Criminal background check required * Clean MVR record for operating company vehicle as needed Strongly Preferred * Previous experience in New Home construction permit submission * Ability to contribute to multiple areas beyond permitting * Knowledge of the alternative energy industry  * Proficiency in Excel and CRM software Why Join Us * Cell Phone Stipend  * Dental Insurance * Medical Insurance * Vision Insurance * Life Insurance- paid for by company * 401k- up to 3.5% match * Paid Holidays (6) * Paid Time Off (PTO)- start accruing day one * Stable schedule: Monday-Friday, day shifts * Work alongside a collaborative, mission-driven team Work Environment: This position operates primarily in a standard office setting using typical office equipment (computer, phone, copier, printer).
