Our Fish Movements Permitting Team (part of Integrated Permitting Services) is looking for an enthusiastic individual to manage incoming permit applications, providing administrative support for the team, area operational teams and external customers throughout the permitting process. This is an exciting opportunity to join a hardworking and high achieving national team and contribute to the regulation and protection of fisheries across England. You’ll contribute to the Environment Agency’s vision of creating a better place for people and wildlife.
You’ll support delivery of our critical frontline fisheries permitting services administratively. In the role you will:

The team
The Fish Movements Team (part of Integrated Permitting Services) provides fisheries permitting determination services to internal and external customers across a wide range of fisheries disciplines.
Providing a national single point of contact for fisheries customers involved in the fish movement trade or commercial fisheries such as the sea trout net fishery. With a strong customer focus, we provide excellent technical advice and customer services to fulfil our regulatory obligations and environmental outcomes for fisheries.
Experience/skills required
You will require good written and verbal communication skills, have the ability to follow processes and use different digital tools. A strong customer-focus and confidence to engage with different customer groups and communities is essential.
Relevant administrative work experience would be an advantage, however being able to demonstrate the following list of skills will be important:

The role is based at the Brampton office (attending on a weekly basis) with some external travel for meetings, working in a hybrid manner at our office and at home.
