DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Honours BA in applied Social Studies in Social Care QQI Level 8.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated knowledge of supporting people with complex physical disabilities
Experience of supervisory management and leading teams
Knowledge and practical experience of Person Centred Planning
Knowledge of the application of the HSE policy on Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults
Has demonstrated the ability to assess, plan and implement person centred care programmes in accordance with best practice
Has experience in conducting risk assessments and care plans
Has knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and associated responsibilities
Has knowledge and a clear understanding of New Directions.
Has knowledge and application of the Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act 2015
Demonstrated experience in implementing the Social Model of service delivery
Experience in developing and implementing action plans
Experience in supporting others to apply policies and procedures to practice
Maintains an awareness of professional literature and current developments in the field of social care.

HSE Salary Scale: Social Care Leader Point 1: €53,621 to Point 7: €62619 per annum
Provide leadership and support to colleagues around Person Centred Planning (PCP) and PCP approaches, in line with best practice, organisational policies and legislation
To support the PCP Steering Group which has overall responsible for organisational performance and progress regarding the promotion, implementation, compliance, and oversight of St Michael’s House Policy on Person Centred Planning
To support the Service User (SU) PCP Group, promote the involvement of the service user in the design and delivery, planning, decision-making of services.
Develop accessible PCP information with the SU PCP Group.
