ABOUT ME
Hello! I am a 44-year-old man with an Intellectual Disability, Schizophrenia and Antisocial Personality Disorder. I am looking for friendly Support Workers to assist me in achieving my NDIS goals. I am looking for an experienced support worker who can assist me to enjoy the activities I like, including watching TV and gaming at home, as well as going to the shops.
SHIFTS
I am looking for someone to support me on a casual basis with the potential to join the team part time in the future.
ABOUT YOU:
I am looking for a positive person to join my team. A good match for me would be someone who has an efficient and confident approach in what they do and possesses a calm and patient nature. Someone who is comfortable with personal care and is comfortable to be in a smoking environment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in working with people who have experience with behaviours of concern.
- Ability to implement individualised developmental programs.
- Experience implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
- Flexible working hours
- Experience in various models of support preferred.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in service delivery.

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
An Opportunity is available to join my team of wonderful support workers who help to facilitate my daily life. My support workers assist me on a 1 to 1 basis throughout the day.
Due to some of the challenges I face, I can become aggressive in the things I say. In this instance I would like you to give me space, but also provide me with lots of encouragement.
I am seeking a Support Worker who is wanting to join a team environment, passionate about building a rapport with me to assist me in living a great life!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist me with ADL’s
- Prompt me with Personal Care as I have dual incontinence.
- Manual Handling
- Assist with medication.
- In home activities such as cooking
- Support me to achieve my goals to reach my potential in all facets of my life.
- Support my life skill development through proper implementation of established plans and programs to support the achievement of goal outcomes for me.
- Actively engage in person centred active support.
- Maintain accurate records.
