The Department of Primary Care and Public Health is seeking a Personal Assistant and Administrative Officer to provide an efficient and robust secretarial and administrative service for the Head of Department and other Senior departmental staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated person, wishing to develop a career in administration and to obtain experience of working in one of the UK’s leading Universities within a busy and successful Department.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

  • You will provide secretarial and clerical support for the teaching, research and other university and administrative activities of the Head of Department.
  • You will manage the Head of Department’s diary and ensure that papers for meetings are accessible and maintained in an organised and logical format.
  • You will be responsible for data input for research applications and monitor the research spend of NIHR awards.
  • You will support the Departmental Manager on a range of general administrative functions, including processing payments using the College’s financial systems, human resource activities, and assisting with organising departmental events.
