CLEAR IMAGE STOREFRONTS & GLASS INC. – CENTEREACH, NY

We are a growing commercial glazing company in Centereach, NY, seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Personal Assistant / Estimator to work directly with the owner. This role will focus on helping manage day-to-day tasks, entering projects into our estimating program (STACK), performing takeoffs, sending proposals, and following up with clients and vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1–2 years of estimating experience (glass & glazing preferred)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
• Knowledge of commercial storefront systems and materials
• Proficient in takeoffs and quantity measurements
• Strong math skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and reliable team player

• Enter commercial projects into our estimating program (STACK)
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs from construction drawings
• Prepare and send proposals to general contractors
• Request material quotes from vendors and suppliers
• Make follow-up calls and send emails to track project award status
• Review bid packages, drawings, and specifications to determine scope of work
• Develop clarifications and assumptions for bids
• Manage multiple estimating projects simultaneously
• Obtain quotes for specialty items (e.g., bulletproof glass, fire-rated glass, ACM panels)
• Review project designs for feasibility
• Assist in reviewing contracts for scope accuracy
• Prepare budgets and submittals for Project Managers
• Maintain detailed records of all bids and estimates
