JOB SUMMARY

The Strategy Unit is one of six Units in the Planning Inspectorate. It is working to plan strategically for the future, improve our ability to prepare the organisation for change, and deliver improvements for customers.
The Chief Strategy Officer has articulated our Unit vision as: ‘We look to the future and work with partners within the Inspectorate and across the planning system to support Inspectors and other decision makers deliver quicker and higher quality decisions and recommendations’.
We are a small team that reports to the Head of Strategy and Change, and our remit is to support strategic development, organisational planning, our Executive Team and our corporate governance framework.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for 2 individuals who would be good team players, be organised and forward thinking, able to exercise judgement, deliver quality service in an effective and efficient way, be customer-focused, good communicators and able to build strong relationship with Executive Team members and other stakeholders
The roles provide support to members of the Executive Team, including diary management, forward planning and handling correspondence. With both of these roles you will identify priorities and delegate tasks as appropriate, ensuring the Executive Team members are prepared for meetings liaising to resolve issues.
These roles will provide a secretariat service for a number of corporate governance meetings and supports facilitating improvements in our corporate governance as needed.
