Description
King George V School is an outstanding and innovative International Secondary School. The School is based in Ho Man Tin, with approximately 1950 students, and teaches the MYP, IGCSE, BTEC and IB curriculum in English. Responsibilities Personal Assistant / School Secretary Duties Acts as a communications conduit for the Principal and represents the School as an initial host for visitors. Provides administrative support to the Principal (e.g. diary management, correspondence, filing, travel arrangements etc). Custodian of the School Policies / Procedures – keep them updated and accessible Acts as the senior School Administrator and ensure coherence of administrative standards and practice across the School. Ensures all documents are prepared with accuracy, in a timely manner in the appropriate ESF style and format. Answers telephone and electronic communications, distributes messages, handles enquiries and conducts follow-up action for the Principal and the Office@kgv.edu.hk address. Arranges schedules and attends School Council and Committee Meetings; informs members of the agenda, provides process advice and prepares the minutes (Council, Premises and Staffing). Prepares venues and arranges refreshments and catering for meetings. Ensures all essential School management documents are prepared in an accurate and timely manner. Deal with EDB and ESF information requests such as handling the Student Travel Subsidy Scheme of Student Finance Office. Human Resources Duties: Liaise with ESF to ensure practice is aligned and EDB / HK legislation is complied with To work closely with line managers to oversee staff attendance and highlight any issues to the Principal Prepare job adverts, arrange interviews and administer the recruitment of Teaching Staff Assist with the visa renewal / application process Arrange new staff on-boarding & provide orientation Administer internal staffing matters including appointments, interviews, staff contract renewal, promotions etc Administer CPD; in-house, ESF and overseas, including contracts and service provider admin. Manage the Performance Management and Professional Reflections for Development process for teaching staff Maintain HR information such as staff personal data and leave records Help employees regarding eAccess, payroll and other HR related enquiries. Assist the Principal to do short-term HR management & long-term HR strategic planning for teaching staff. Requirements Impeccable integrity, diplomatic skills and the discipline to maintain confidentiality Excellent interpersonal & communication skills Good command of both spoken and written English; spoken Cantonese is an advantage Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office Experience in human resources / administration / admissions is an advantage Only application through our recruitment website will be considered.
