Description

At Action on Disability we support individuals to employ their own care and support staff (we are not a recruitment agency; we are a support service). This means you will not be employed by Action on Disability, but directly by the individual themselves or by a representative who is acting on their behalf.

ABOUT ME:

Hey, I am Theodora.
I am looking for two PAs to help assist me over the week with domestic support in the home and companionship. I have cerebral palsy, and I use a manual chair. I can communicate fluently in English, and one of my many passions is Music and Art. I love listening to music and getting out and about. I enjoy being involved in Social Activities as well as visiting museums and exhibitions in London. I like to go to cafes and to drink coffee, eating out at restaurants, going to the cinema and spending time with friends.
I have a fear of dogs, and I do not like loud noises as I have very sensitive hearing.
I am currently recruiting the following position:

Responsibilities
  • No personal care is required for this position.
  • However, you will be expected to push me to several locations around London and occasionally take me to classes at a local Centre. You will also be expected to help me with feeding at mealtimes, and to help me onto public transport safely (tube or bus). Support to access community, social and leisure activities!
