Able Hands Together CIC is a values-led, trauma-informed and neuroaffirming organisation providing alternative provision and therapeutic support for children, young people, and families and a social care service for adults with learning disabilities. We are seeking a Personal Assistant (PA) to support our Director, who is neurodivergent. This is a rewarding and dynamic role for someone who is highly organised, proactive, and able to provide structured and flexible support to a busy Director leading an innovative community organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and organisational support to the Director
  • Manage the Director’s diary, schedule, and email inbox.
  • Assist with preparation for meetings, including agendas, documents, and follow-ups
  • Support communication with staff, partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Help create systems and processes that work in a neuroaffirming and accessible way.
  • Provide gentle reminders, structure, and organisational backup when needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity at all times.

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

  • Highly organised with strong administrative skills.
  • A clear and kind communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working with flexibility and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Understanding and supportive of neurodivergent working styles (experience of working with or alongside neurodivergent people is desirable, but training will be provided).
  • Confident with IT systems (email, calendar management, document organisation).
  • Someone who thrives on helping others succeed.
