We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care settings such as hospice care, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in caregiving, senior care, or related fields is preferred.
  • Knowledge of hospice care practices and patient care protocols is a plus.
  • Familiarity with assisted living environments and nursing home settings is beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting and transferring clients when necessary.
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid or relevant caregiving training is advantageous but not required.

  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
  • Assist with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety during movement.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
  • Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to healthcare professionals.
  • Support clients with dementia care by engaging them in meaningful activities that stimulate cognitive function.
  • Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans.
