Job Details Level: Entry Job Location: St. Robert1 - St. Robert, MO Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: Undisclosed Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Job Category: Finance Description General Statement of Duties: This position assists customers with all aspects of opening and maintaining personal and commercial accounts as well as, provides other customer services as needed. Personal Bankers greet customers as they enter the bank, direct customers to the proper departments, and assist with the distribution of incoming phone calls as needed. Upholding customer confidentiality is a must. Essential Job Functions: Opens and assists with all functions of new accounts: personal and commercial checking, savings, CD’s, IRA’s, Money Markets, Safe Deposit Boxes, including assisting with accounts opened through the online platform. Actively cross-sells bank services to customers. Maintains proper documentation and follow-up correspondence for newly opened accounts. Serves as a back-up for reviewing the new account CIF Report and checking CIP documentation. Acts as the lead for all account applications submitted online thru INMO. Utilizes a New Deposit Account Listing report to ensure signature cards for deposit accounts are correct and follows up with Personal Bankers if corrections need to be made. Closes accounts for customers as needed. Assists customers with safe deposit box needs. Acts as the lead contact for new accounts updates and disseminates documentation and training to other branch personnel as-needed. Provides on-the-job training for new Personal Bankers. Answers the main phone line, researches challenging customer inquiries and directs calls to other departments as needed. Prepares the main lobby according to opening and closing procedures. Balances the cash vault on a rotating schedule. Accurately handles transactions assigned to the teller window on an as needed basis. Collects and distributes mail. Follows bank policies and procedures, including state and federal regulations at all times. Assists with the filing and record keeping of departmental information. Maintains departmental appearance, both personal and general. Assists on the teller line and in other areas of the bank as needed. Actively cross-sells bank services to customers. Serves customers in a cordial and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction with service provided by the bank. Takes advantage of opportunities to promote the Bank when involved in voluntary community activities and civic organizations to cross sell the Bank’s products and services. Completes other duties as assigned. Qualifications Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. One year prior experience in a financial environment preferred. Basic knowledge of the bank’s products and services preferred. Prior experience in a customer service environment preferred. Experience with calculators, standard office equipment, and PC software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred. Prior experience working within a team environment preferred. Demonstrated aptitude for accuracy with numbers. Strong decision making skills. Ability to plan, prioritize, meets deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and work under pressure. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to maintain a pleasant attitude throughout the entire work day. Demonstrated aptitude for learning new policies and procedures. Ability to concentrate on complex projects. Excellent human relations/customer service skills to effectively interact with customers and co-workers. Ability to pay attention to detail. Self-motivated and results oriented.
