QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory is a plus but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in a home care setting or related health care facility is an asset.
  • Familiarity with caring for seniors or clients with complex care needs is a plus.
  • Experience in providing companionship or support to individuals is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Personal Care Aide (PCA) is an essential member of Golden Home Caregivers Corp., reporting directly to the Case Manager. The PCA provides hands-on personal care and support to clients, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. The PCA monitors client conditions and ensures that any changes are promptly reported to the Case Manager. The role also involves administering medications according to policy while maintaining professional standards and respecting the dignity, privacy, and autonomy of each client.
