Description

Overview Delivers quality home health care services to the Agency’s clients under the direction of a Registered Nurse in accordance with physician orders, Agency and industry standards, and federal and state regulations. Responsibilities Assists members with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility Engages members in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care assistance Responds to all members needs and/or requests for care promptly, and provides or obtains assistance with care as necessary Observes members for changes in physical, emotional, mental, or behavioral condition, unusual symptoms, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and reports promptly to a licensed nurse Completes all forms and documentation such as incident reports, change of condition reports, and behavior tracking, as requested, and in a timely manner Prepares and serves meals, assists with eating, not including tube feeding Assist with self-administration of medications Make and change bed linens Clean immediate living areas including bathroom and bedroom and remove trash Qualifications Education and Experience:•CPR Certificate (preferred)• High school diploma or equivalent• Previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting also preferred

Responsibilities

The Personal Care Aide assists clients with daily living activities and engages them in conversation and socialization. They also observe clients for changes in condition and complete necessary documentation.
