KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home & Community) or equivalent qualification
  • Completion of Allied Health/Therapy Assistant course (desirable)
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate
  • Manual handling and infection control training
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including with people living with dementia
  • Experience providing personal care in aged care, disability, or community settings
  • Ability to plan, deliver, and adapt activities to support physical, social, and emotional wellbeing
  • Compassion, patience, and cultural sensitivity

ABOUT THE ROLE:

At Juniper, we believe aged care is more than daily support, it’s about helping people live with dignity, purpose, and joy. We are seeking a Personal Care and Activities Assistant to provide compassionate, person-centered care for our residents and community clients. This role combines personal care with meaningful activity support, helping customers with their daily living needs, social engagement, and overall wellbeing.
It’s perfect for someone with empathy, patience, and creativity who enjoys making a positive difference in people’s lives every day.
The successful candidate must be available to work the following shifts: Friday 11:45am- 18:45pm, Saturday and Sunday 9:00am-14:30pm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and meal assistance
  • Support residents to participate in social, recreational, and wellness activities
  • Facilitate engaging group and one-on-one activities tailored to customer interests and abilities
  • Assist with transport and mobility to and from activities (if required)
  • Monitor and report any changes in health, wellbeing, or behaviour to clinical staff
  • Maintain accurate documentation and care/activity records
  • Promote dignity, independence, and respect in all interactions
  • Work collaboratively with the care team, families, and allied health professionals
