We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of patient care and be skilled in various supportive tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role preferred.
  • Knowledge of memory care techniques and patient monitoring practices is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Ability to lift clients safely and assist them with mobility challenges.
  • Strong observational skills to identify changes in client conditions promptly.
  • Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
  • Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus.
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
  • Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to appropriate personnel.
  • Provide patient observation and support during daily activities.
  • Assist with mobility and lifting as needed to ensure client safety.
  • Engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities to promote mental stimulation.
  • Support individuals with memory care needs, ensuring they feel secure and understood.
  • Provide assistance in assisted living environments, adhering to HIPAA regulations at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care plans.
  • Offer direct support for individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities as required.
  • Participate in hospice care when necessary, providing comfort and companionship during critical times.
