OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of patient care and be skilled in various supportive tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of memory care techniques and patient monitoring practices is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
• Ability to lift clients safely and assist them with mobility challenges.
• Strong observational skills to identify changes in client conditions promptly.
• Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
• Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
• Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to appropriate personnel.
• Provide patient observation and support during daily activities.
• Assist with mobility and lifting as needed to ensure client safety.
• Engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities to promote mental stimulation.
• Support individuals with memory care needs, ensuring they feel secure and understood.
• Provide assistance in assisted living environments, adhering to HIPAA regulations at all times.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care plans.
• Offer direct support for individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities as required.
• Participate in hospice care when necessary, providing comfort and companionship during critical times.
