JOB OVERVIEW

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of support. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in home health, hospice care, assisted living, or long-term care is preferred.
  • Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance.
  • Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in providing quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide patient care by monitoring vital signs and observing changes in health status.
  • Support clients with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in client living spaces through regular cleaning tasks.
  • Administer medication as per care plans and assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
  • Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being.
  • Document patient care activities accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide specialized support for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or autism.
