JOB OVERVIEW

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of support. Your responsibilities will include providing compassionate care, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring the safety and well-being of clients in various settings such as homes, assisted living facilities, and group homes. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about helping others and has the skills to provide effective personal care.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in home health, hospice care, assisted living, or long-term care is preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in providing quality patient care.

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide patient care by monitoring vital signs and observing changes in health status.
• Support clients with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in client living spaces through regular cleaning tasks.
• Administer medication as per care plans and assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being.
• Document patient care activities accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide specialized support for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or autism.
