Job Details Job Location: COLUMBUS, OH 43223 Salary Range: $18.00 - $19.00 Hourly Job Purpose: - The Personal Care Assistant is responsible for performing personal care and homemaker services based on a nurse’s assessment of the client’s needs. This position is also responsible for providing respite and private duty care. Key Responsibilities: - Assisting clients with personal hygiene according to the client care plan. - Taking and recording vital signs with accuracy. - Responding appropriately in an emergency and promptly reporting any unusual occurrences or incidents. Qualifications Required Education: - High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred Education: - 60-hour training or state-tested nursing license Required Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of in-home care experience, either in private duty or in a facility Required Skills and Abilities: - Proficiency in assisting clients with personal hygiene according to the client care plan - Ability to take and record vital signs with accuracy - Competence in responding appropriately in emergency situations - Capability to promptly report any unusual occurrences or incidents - Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and healthcare team members - Compassionate and patient demeanor suitable for providing personal care and support - Ability to follow directions and work independently within the scope of the care plan
