The position would be ideal for people with an interest to work with individuals who have a range of disabilities.

Duties may include all aspects of personal care including:

Complex care - such as - Wound Management, peg feeding, catheter management and more. 

Manual handling including hoist transfers – manual, electric / assisted standing

Bowel and continence support

Medication assistance

Driving company van to take participants for community access

Data entry and documentation

Personal care

  • assisting with showering, bathing, dressing and grooming;
  • toileting and continence support;
  • changing continence aids and assisting with personal hygiene;
  • cleaning and managing urine, faeces, vomit and other bodily fluids;
  • assisting participants with menstrual and other personal hygiene needs;
  • assisting with transfers, mobility and positioning;
  • completing associated cleaning, laundry and infection-control tasks; and
  • providing other personal care and daily living supports within the worker's training, competency and scope of role.

Applicants must be comfortable undertaking these duties respectfully and professionally and must be able to perform the inherent requirements of the position safely, with reasonable adjustments where applicable.

Other duties include:

Light domestic support and household tasks

Assistance or preparation of meals

Support with assistive technology

Detailed Reports

Data Collection

Medical and Allied health appointments

The successful candidate will have:

Maximum availability and willingness to do different range of shifts, Morning & afternoon 

Demonstrated manual handling experience

Demonstrated experience with personal care

Demonstrated experience driving large vans

Experience in working with people with high medical needs and intellectual disabilities

The ability to develop strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders

Mandatory Requirements include:

Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent

Current CPR (annual)

National Police Children Check (less than 6 months old or willingness to obtain)

Current Australian Drivers License

NDIS Workers Screening Check

Own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance

Excellent Verbal and written skills

Current First Aid level 2 Certificate

Current CPR

Current Australian Driver's License

Unrestricted working rights

Industry experience will be highly regarded.
