Discovery Therapy is seeking an excellent Personal Care Assistant/s to join our Early Intervention community team within Philadelphia County. Services will be for children with a variety of developmental and/or learning disabilities that are in the need of Personal Care Assistant (PCA) services. We have part-time, full-time and contract/per-diem positions available. You Choose! Available Positions: Full Time Part Time Contract *1099 Contractor Position* The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) will work directly, one-on-one (1:1) with children in preschools, daycares or centers environment. Generally, the kiddos we help will receive support for 3-7 hours each day. The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) will work 1:1 with the child to ensure their success in preschool, daycare or home environment. Responsibilities Include: One-on-One (1:1) support for kiddos Providing assistance to children who could have behavioral challenges, medical/physical limitation or a neurological diagnosis Implementing instructional strategies Requirements: High School Diploma REQUIRED CPR and First Aid certifications REQUIRED Experience supporting children with behavioral challenges and self care needs in 3-5 age group PREFERRED Enjoy the flexibility of choosing the area you want to work in, no nights or weekends required.
