About the Role
Cabrini Brighton Rehab consists of Rehabilitation patients across 48 beds across the first floor.
As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), you will support the nursing staff and report directly to the registered nurses to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of patient care.
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join the Cabrini Brighton Rehabilitation ward. The role requires flexibility, with candidates expected to work a variety of shifts across a seven-day week, including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering patient care under the supervision and direction of the registered nurse.
  • Observing and reporting patient conditions to the registered nurse.
  • Responding to queries from patients and their families, referring to the registered nurse when necessary.
  • Maintaining the patient environment, including making beds.
  • Ensuring patient privacy and dignity while addressing their emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs.

About You
This role is ideal for someone with experience in patient care who thrives in a supportive environment.

You will also have:

  • Health Service Assistance qualifications or equivalent qualifications as outlined in the position description.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and relationships with patients.
  • The ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism.
  • Experience in an acute hospital setting (preferred).
