SUPPORT WORKER FOR CLIENT IN HIS OWN HOME -DAYS - 18 HOURS PER WEEK - BLACKBURN -£14.50-£15.00 P/H

We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Care / Support Worker to join our small, friendly team, supporting a client in the Blackburn area who faces multiple learning disabilities, dystonia, and complex health conditions. This is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to make a lasting difference, helping our client live as independently as possible in their own home and in the local community. (You will be working as part of a small team. The overnights are 1:1 and the day shifts are 2:1 basis for moving and handling tasks.)

  • Your contracted hours will be: 18 Hours per week: (Week 1: Saturday: 2pm-8pm & Sunday: 8am-8pm / Week 2: Thursday: 8am-8pm & Friday: 2pm-8pm.)

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

You must be self motivated, well organised, reliable and an excellent team player. As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, we’re seeking Care / Support workers with experience of:
-
- Gastronomy care and administration of prescribed feed, fluid and medication
- Having a clean, full driving licence is desirable, as there is the use of a mobility vehicle.
- Personal care, including incontinence pad changes and measures to maintain skin integrity
- Moving and Handling (including hoisting)
- Dystonia and Flails
- Domestic duties (laundry, cleaning)
- Monitoring of general health and well being, & daily record keeping
- Communication support.

Responsibilities

A CAR DRIVER IS PREFERRED FOR THIS ROLE TO SUPPORT OUR CLIENT IN THE LOCAL AREA AND ATTEND DAY CENTERS REGULARLY

You must be comfortable being around animals as there are pets in the clients home (cats and dogs).
