DETAILS:

I am a disabled mother with an 18-year-old boy who is looking for a Personal Assistant to support me with showering/bathing, dressing/changing clothes, catheter care daily as necessary. Help with grocery shopping, meal preparation and ensuring the specialist dietary requirements are adhered to. I will also need support with house tasks such as laundry, cleaning and possibly some gardening. I have low mobility and will require supervision when mobilising and transferring as well as support when repositioning in the bed.
My son suffers with frequent and severe nose bleeds and anxiety, ME and chronic tiredness. Therefore, you would also be supporting me as I supervise his daily routine, prepare his food and enable me to provide and maintain clean, comfortable and safe environment for him as well as me.
Successful candidate will also support me when I attend social events, medical appointments, and other activities in the community. I suffer with anxiety, panic attacks and depression, therefore I am looking for someone who is understanding, supportive, caring and would also provide me with companionship.

SUMMARY TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  • Rate for this position is £809.94 per week.
  • You will be working as a live-in carer on a week on, week off basis.
  • The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
    This role will require you to carry out free training for Use of Hazardous Chemicals (cleaning materials/medication), Food Hygiene/Preparation, Lifting and Handling, Catheter Care, Data Protection which you will need to complete before you carry out any tasks.
