Are you a compassionate, reliable individual with a background or interest in support work? We’re looking for a Personal Assistant (PA) to provide flexible support for a creative, independent individual with a hearing impairment living alone. This is a fulfilling opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s daily life. Start date will be as soon as possible with a pay rate of £12.40 per hour.

Main Responsibilities:

• Domestic tasks, including:
• Laundry
• Cleaning
• Meal preparation
• Community access – support with attending activities, appointments, and days out
• Shopping and running errands
• Support with personal care – washing and dressing
• Prompting and assistance with:
• Medication ordering
• Medical appointments
• Correspondence
• General home maintenance (e.g., changing bedding)

Essential Information:

• Hours: Flexible, with current needs on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. Additional hours may become available.
• Driving: A full driver’s license is essential. A walker is used for day trips and folds for transport.
• Experience: Prior experience in support or care work is desired.
• DBS Check: Required – funded by Direct Payments (£44).
• COVID Vaccines: Not required.
• Sensitivity: Must avoid strong perfumes/fragrances due to scent sensitivity (e.g., lavender can cause migraines).
