About the opportunity Assist residents with daily personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Help with mobility, including transferring residents from bed to chair, assisting with walking, and using mobility aids safely. Support residents with feeding, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration, and assisting with special dietary needs. Assist with medication reminders and support residents in taking prescribed medications, under the guidance of a nurse. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a caring and comfortable environment for residents. Help maintain a clean and safe living environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks, including making beds and cleaning rooms. Assist with organizing and engaging in activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being. Respond to residents' requests for assistance in a timely and professional manner. Follow care plans as outlined by registered nurses and healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care are met. Maintain confidentiality and respect for residents' privacy, dignity, and personal preferences. Adhere to safety protocols, including infection control procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart.
